_{Alissa's love for dance began at the age of seven when she started studying various forms of dance including Jazz, Tap, Acrobatics, Ballet, Lyrical, and Modern. Quickly excelling, she became a competitive dancer and traveled throughout the United States competing with dance groups and taking master classes with some of the most prestigious instructors.}

_{Over the past 22 years, she has moved on to become a successful instructor and choreographer to all ages.  She has been an active member of Dance Masters of America and Ohio Chapter #16. Through DMA, she was professionally trained to work with all ages and skill levels, receiving certifications to teach in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, and Acrobatics. Alissa continuously enhances her dance education by attending master classes and conventions throughout the year.}

Kayla grew up dancing and competiting since she was in elementary school.  Her passion for dance led her to the Kent State University Dance Team throughout her college career and now has been teaching at Elevation for 8 years.  Kayla graduated from Kent State University with a degree in Public Relations in 2020.

I’ve always been a dancer at heart but I started in classes when I was two years old. When I was six, I joined the competition team at Keithe Williams Performing Arts Academy. I was a part of many group dances and styles including tap, ballet, musical theatre, jazz, hip hop, and acro. When I was about 12 years old, I began my journey at Hudson Conservatory of Ballet where I was involved in the Nutcracker every winter season. I danced in roles such as Spanish dancer, Sugar Plum Fairy Assistant, Marzipan, Flower, and Snow Flake. I was also involved in the Twinsburg Show Choir where I was Dance Captain and choreographed many routines. I graduated high school in 2019 where I began to study dance at Cleveland State University. The pandemic hit and I transferred to the Ohio State University — where I minored in Dance. I was involved in my sorority’s dance team (Kappa Delta) where we placed Second Overall in the annual Variety Show. Throughout college, I choreographed for high school show choirs in the Midwest — including Ohio, Wisconsin, and Indiana.  I went to Twinsburg High School. For college, I went to the Ohio State University where I earned my Bachelors degree. I specialized in Marketing and minored in Dance.
